|Scope & Content||
Two green loose-leaf binders, each containing 15 slide pages; volume 1 holds 300 slides, volume 2 holds 282 slides.
Jacob R. Sabiers was a resident of Sandusky. As a hobby, he took photographs of scenes of Sandusky and nearby communities. Most of these images document buildings in Sandusky, although there are also some scenes of parks, the waterfront, and the Soap Box Derby. Nearby communities documented in this collection include Huron, Lakeside, Put-in-Bay, Castalia, Venice, and Lorain. All of the slides have been dated in pen on the slide frame by Mr. Sabiers. Accompanying the slides (on the last sheet in volume 2) is a handwritten list describing some of the images in the collection.
